Alright in all fairness...
I'm not gonna say this was the best. Nor is this the worst, like many people in the different groups like to believe. This is actually a nicely written short, coming from a creative writing student like myself. While some of you may say that racism is the big pull of this short, let me ask you this: How many of you guys actually call the tech support of Dell and HP? if you haven't, don't play the race card. That's just ignorance talking and that's just sick. For everyone else that just voted high or low without watching this film, you need to re-evaluate how you judge Jon Ian. From a writers' standpoint, he writes some really good scripts and calls to attention some of the issues that we normally ignore. But some of you lash out at him anyway because he is a "sell-out" or he just sucks at animating or uses sex-appeal or whatever. He isn't gonna stop just because some asshole whined in a review about him hocking merch out to Hot Topic. He has a two week deadline for each toon, not exactly enough time to turn out a massive animation reel that pulls in the masses, and if you actually go to the site (concerning those that thought he was just joking about Katrina) he has a link that puts you directly to the donation site. This series is evolving, just like a sunday comic strip (just read For Better or For Worse). There isn't supposed to be a plot, there isn't supposed to be an ongoing story. This is just random shorts. And yes, you do need a better educated mind to catch some of the off-color jokes that most of the users here (ages 12+) typically miss. So quit with the bashing and the typing like "OMG dIs IZ TeH BESTEST!!!!!!1!!!!!11111!!!ONEonEONeoneoneONE!" and "Fuck off and die you talentless hack". That crap, in all fair obviousness, is old. Grow up a little people, lay off the crap. And if you still can't stomach Foamy, Pilz-e, Biggly, Da Hatta, Germaine, and everyone else that Jon Ian Mathers comes up with, just ignore it. As for voting, this got a 4 out of me.
peace outz
